Here is the rating system
- Two drink minimum - Can be completed while having a couple of drinks without a lot of cursing or gluing your hands to the glass. No more than a 2-3 hour time commitment. No tools required other than ink, scissors, easily placed dies, a papercutter, glue. No more than a little coloring or it's really easy to color. Didn't cost a lot. I might let one of my little crafting orphans help with it because they can't mess it up. When you finish you think, "that was pretty easy!"
- Probably need to pay attention so I don't injure myself - some part of this process will necessitate your sticking your tongue out of the side of your mouth to get it just right. Maybe 3-5 hours of a time commitment. May require some embossing, red tape, foam, heat gun something other than your basic tools. May be a specialty item that cost a little bit more but gives great results. When you're done, you think, "I'm doing pretty good here."
- I've come this far, can't stop now - you'll probably need to watch a you tube tutorial first but one or two viewings should allow you to complete the project with reasonably successful results. It somehow takes more time than you really think it should and you look up and it's 2 am and not done. Needs a ruler, craft knife, acetate or some other more than a beginner tool to make work. You had to stop and think, "do I really need this for how much I'm about to pay for it?" before you hit the complete purchase. May require some layering or masking of one thing to get a good finished product. When you're done, you think "I'm not sure I want to do that again."
- Why did I ever start this? You'll need to be clear headed and have some time to work on this. You'll have to redo at least one thing, probably more than once or more than one part, because the first time it will be wrong even if you've watched you tube videos and stared at the product card. You put this in your cart and took it out because you couldn't justify the cost when you first spotted it. Requires multiple specialized tools. Some pre-planning is required in order to make it a success. When you're finished there are literal blood, sweat and/or tears embedded in the finished product. You think, "I'll be a zombie tomorrow or have big shot elbow, but it turned out pretty good."
- What sadistic bastard thought this up? - This project will make you WANT to drink it takes so long or is so difficult to complete. May take longer than one sitting, require the you tube video to be paused while you complete a step and then restarted. It may not EVER look like the picture on the package because that was obviously done with witchcraft to get it all just so. Who really has the time to weave their own burlap and that is the only way it will ever look perfect? Witchcraft must have been involved to get the finished product on the example. When you finish, you put it in the special stack of "only when I want to punish myself or impress someone" projects.
- Everything is on fire, we're all gonna' die - There is no way on earth a normal person who is not a professional crafter is going to get this done without losing their mind. There are NO tutorials, there aren't any instructions anywhere, the purchasing page or original designer only show one wide shot or a cartoon image of the finished product so you can't tell what the steps are. This project will make you want to walk away from the table and not come back for a while. Your trash is littered with the detritus of your failures. It may require some obscure piece of equipment to get a perfect result that is never going to be used on anything else. It doesn't matter how much it cost because you hate it. When you finish you list it on ebay because there is no way you are EVER going to do that again.
